Maida Hill 2010
A one day community mapping workshop at Maida Hill Market, Westminster, London to launch the 'All Along the Harrow Road' audio CD and to look at all aspects of local memory and history for the Harrow Road Neighbourhood Partnership
Using low-tech resources of printed maps, paper, cocktail sticks and bluetack we looked at people's favourite places.
They included:
- Chippenham Pub - where I learnt to play pool watching my dad and
his mates; I played in a band there - everyone has played there
- Maida Hill Cafe Gallery - the lighthouse of the community, you
always meet interesting people
- Bike rides along the canal with baby on the back
- Coffee & Tequila at the metropolitan pub - happy days!
- No. 101 - Joe Strummer lived here!
